In January of 2023, Mt Lebanon’s Pastor Eld. Mike Reid and licensed minister Bro. Jay Snoddy, along with Bro. Matthew Clark, a minister from Beckwith Missionary Baptist Church, were burdened to go to Antigua, Guatemala. While there, God opened the door for the spreading of the Gospel. These brothers met Brother Jose Daniel Bran and his wife Sister Odi Bran, who both shared their sound testimonies of salvation.  In continued meetings with Brother Jose, he shared his call to the ministry.  All rejoiced at the sharing of these testimonies and in hearing Bro. Jose’s call to the ministry. 

Over the next few months, multiple bible studies were held virtually with Brother Jose. In May of 2023, Mt. Lebanon voted in conference to extend an arm to the work in Antigua Guatemala. In June 2023, Bro. Jose and wife Sis. Odi were baptized into the membership of Mt. Lebanon. After hearing Bro. Jose preach several times (via live video), the Church licensed Bro. Jose as a minister of the Gospel. During 2023, an additional 21 souls were baptized into the fellowship of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Mission. Please pray for this work and for our brothers and sisters there. Please pray that God would save the souls of those wonderful people and the souls here in our communities.
